Gorgeous watch! May 13, 2009
By Michele Abbott

Before buying this watch, I deliberated a long time over a variety of Fossil watches... I wanted to select the PERFECT watch for my boyfriend's birthday. And this was definitely it. Even though I was extraordinarily drawn to this one, I bought two other watches before this one because I was worried that - although gorgeous - this watch wouldn't be practical for everyday wear.
Well, I was WRONG! I bought the FS4423 first - ridiculously big. Sent it back. Bought the CH2331 next because I thought it looked more practical. WRONG. It was super boring. Back it went. Having nothing to lose and feeling like buying a watch was a horrible idea to begin with - I went ahead with my original plan to buy this watch.
And he LOVES it. Omg, he can't keep his eyes off this watch! And neither can I - when he wears it, my eyes are constantly drawn to his wrist. It is just that pretty. And it turned out to be the best present ever! It is truly a GORGEOUS watch, and so much better than even the picture shows. I've never seen a watch this handsome or unique. Watches are watches and I don't normally give much thought to them. But this watch is a definite eye-catcher. You'll get tons of compliments with this one!
A couple of things to note in case you are deliberating:
1) It's an elegant watch, and some people might not prefer it for casual weekend wear, or for camping, etc. (However, my bf loves it so much he will not take it off his wrist unless it's time for bed) It really dresses up any outfit, even sweats and tennis shoes.
2) The face is a tad on the bigger side. Not outrageously big like the FS4423, but still a noticeable watch. On a slender guy with a small wrist, it might be overbearing. (Side-to-side is 1 5/8 inches, which includes the metal. Top-to-bottom is 1 3/4 inches). However, I think it is the perfect size. Manly and elegant. My bf is 6', medium build, and it's perfect on him.
3) It's also a tad heavier. This is a solid watch folks, and you're not likely to forget it on your wrist.
4) The link sizes are a bit in-between. Each link is pretty big, so you don't get much fine tweaking for your fitting preference. For my bf, we took out one link and it fits loose and slides all the way down over his wristbone to settle against his hand. When we took out another link, it was just *too* snug and cut into his wrist a bit. He prefers it looser, more bracelet-style. Depending on your wrist size, this watch could end up being irritatingly snug or loose. That the worst thing about this watch, and the reason I only gave it 4 stars. It really needs a half-link in there for tweaking!
5) There are no numbers on this watch, so if you need them to tell time, it might not be the watch for you.
6) Thankfully, it does have a tiny glow in the dark - just enough to see what time it is if you concentrate. This is a nice feature.
7) I read other reviews on here that the links tends to pull wrist hair. My bf has not had that problem at all. Maybe if you wear it on the snug side, that happens more?
8) The bullets on the wrist-band look SO cool - very elegant, kinda futuristic, and a bit bad-@ss ;-) They give the watch a flair, something more eye-catching than all the other boring watches out there.
Did I mention it's a gorgeous watch? The black face with its faded-light center is beautiful. The tiny diamond is elegant. The band is futuristic and James Bond-ish. Trust me, you won't be able to take your eyes off of this watch!

looks great, wears not-so-great Jun 18, 2008

I got this as a gift some time ago. I was looking/hoping for a nice dress watch as I only usually wear digital watches. As far as looks go, this is very smooth looking. The face is clean and the brushed metal is not-too-shiny but its noticeable on your wrist. It seems to move fine, haven't had any trouble there.
Now, onto the not great. First, its a bit clunky on my relatively slim wrist. The band is probably the worst part about this watch as it is (as other reviews mention) fairly inflexible and does not really conform to your wrist. While the segments don't really hinge well, they still do a good job of pinching the hairs around your wrist. I'm not even that hair and that pinching is the number one reason why I don't wear this watch more often.

I really like this watch. I was looking for a tough watch that can take the punishment that I usually put my watches through, and so far this watch looks great. I have received numerous complements on an everyday watch that isn't just your every day. This watch looks cool, runs great and is just what I was looking for. Congratulations to Fossil for making a great, affordable and stylish watch.

By Luis Alejandro Quesada Mora The Fossil Watch Bentley Gunmetal, it is an excellent purchase, because it is a watch of high quality and to a good price. If they want to have a quality watch and that it likes the people who know, they do not doubt in buying it.
