3This is my first and last Raymond Weil watch!  Jan 07, 2010 By Tiffany Radseg
(Note: This model is the TANGO--not the Parsifal). My husband gave me this watch 3yrs ago. The bracelet started popping open after two years of wearing on dressy occasions. The tiny spring in the clasp was broken--made of carbon steel, rather than longlasting stainless steel, which is what you would expect in a "luxury" timepiece. I contacted RW and discovered there is only ONE service center in the entire country for their products! Shipping and insurance is $25 each way. After several email exchanges (the company is Seville Watch in NYC), I agreed to accept a 30% discount on the repair (10% of the cost of the watch!) This company does NOT accept credit card payment--you must MAIL a check or money order before service is performed. When my watch was finally returned to me (5wks later), I was surprised that it was inside a ziplock bag, inside a cardboard box--NO bubblewrap or anything. And to make things more exasperating, the battery was now dead, so I had to go to a jeweler's to have a new one installed, as you cannot open the back without a special tool. This is a lovely watch, but...next time I'll ask about service and maintenance BEFORE I buy--from a different manufacturer!
